A Stagger Films Story

Nisha & Dan

Curtis Arboretum · Wyncote, PA

A garden ceremony under century-old trees, with stone terraces and golden-hour portraits at a Gilded Age estate just outside Philadelphia.

Nisha and Dan wanted an outdoor wedding that didn't feel like an outdoor wedding. Curtis Arboretum gave them that. The grounds are old enough to feel established, the trees are large enough to provide cover and intimacy, and the mansion at the center of it all anchors the day with something solid behind every frame.

The film leans into the slowness of the place. The ceremony aisle is long. The portrait walks are unhurried. The reception spills out onto stone terraces where the light goes orange about ninety minutes before sunset and the cocktail hour stretches the way you wish every cocktail hour would.

The Venue

Curtis Arboretum, Wyncote.

Curtis Arboretum sits about twenty minutes north of Center City Philadelphia on what used to be the Curtis family estate. The mansion is intact, the grounds run wide and quiet, and the ceremony lawns sit under canopy trees that change the light every five minutes.

It's a venue that rewards filmmakers who plan around the sun. We scouted twice for the ceremony orientation, mapped the portrait route to the back terraces for golden hour, and built audio coverage assuming outdoor wind across every lav. None of that is visible in the film. That's the point.

OH MY GOSH. This is beyond words. Incredible. I am so grateful for your team's kindness and the edit is such a beautiful memory to relive our day. Beyond my expectations, the sound quality is so clear. I've watched it 1000 times.
