Wedding Video at The Union League of Philadelphia

The Union League is one of those venues where the room does half the storytelling for you. The twin staircases out front, the dark mahogany, the gold details in the ceilings: every angle has weight to it. Our job is to keep that weight in the film without letting the room run the show.

What it feels like to film a wedding here

Most of what we love about The Union League is what you hear, not what you see. Footsteps on the marble. The hush right before a couple walks into Lincoln Hall. The way speeches carry in a room with ceilings that high. We run multiple audio sources for ceremonies and toasts here because the architecture is unforgiving on a single mic, and we want your vows to land clean a year from now, ten years from now, when somebody plays this back.

A note from us on filming inside the Union League

The Lincoln Hall ceilings and Lincoln Memorial Room are dramatic, but they reflect light in ways that flatten a lot of cameras. We add small, warm ambient lights low to the ground so the wood and gold details still feel like themselves on screen instead of washing out under venue chandeliers. It's a small choice that keeps the room recognizable in the final film.
Frequently Asked

Filming weddings at The Union League.

Can you film in Lincoln Hall and the Lincoln Memorial Room?

Yes. Both rooms are open to film coverage for member weddings. Lincoln Hall is most often used for ceremonies; the Lincoln Memorial Room for cocktails and dinner. We work both spaces with multiple audio sources because the ceilings are unforgiving on a single mic.

How does Stagger Films handle audio in the Union League's high-ceilinged rooms?

We run a board feed from the venue's sound system, lavalier microphones on one partner and the officiant during the ceremony, and an ambient in-camera backup. The architecture flattens single-source audio, so redundancy is essential.

What does a Union League wedding film cost?

Stagger Films wedding collections at the Union League typically run between $5,500 and $12,000, depending on coverage hours and add-ons. Two-filmmaker collections are common here because the rooms are spread across multiple floors.

How far in advance should we book?

The Union League books popular Saturdays 12 to 18 months out. We recommend booking your wedding film at least 9 months before the date for prime spring and fall weekends.
